Recently, we've unpacked some of the apparent Midrashic elements in [Peter’s vision](https://www.thehiddenorchard.com/peters-vision-is-acts-10-about-dietary-law/) (Acts 10) to illustrate how this story is not about the abolishment of the Biblical dietary laws.

Now, I've found something bigger in this story that forever changed how I read it.

### Zechariah's Prophetic Cast

Putting these pieces together, it occurred to me that Acts 10 may be a brilliantly written and entirely overlooked Midrash on Zechariah.

In Zechariah 8:22-23, the most *powerful nations* seek out a religious Jew, grasping the corner of his garment, and ask to be taken to the G\_D of Israel.
