Hi, my name is James, the author of the majority of the content for The Hidden Orchard project.

I cannot recall when my journey began, but I’ve always been a seeker of truth and a fan of the mysterious. Though Jewish on my mother’s side, I grew up in the Catholic church until my early teens. Later, I explored various Eastern religions and even spent a few years leading and working in a Protestant mega-church before (re)discovering the roots of my heritage.

I have spent several years learning in a Jewish seminary, held speaking and teaching engagements, and have begun to lead tours in Israel.

In each stretch of my path, I have developed an appreciation for the various people and traditions I have encountered. I realized we all have much more in common than we may believe; we just need a place to share our stories.

On the other hand, I see a lot of work needs to be done to counteract the spread of Replacement theology and the dangerous assumptions left in its wake. It is my goal to help reverse these - if only one reader at a time.
