The Land of Forgetting: Neshiyah and the Greys
When Cain was sent into exile in the Book of Genesis, who was he afraid he might encounter in his wanderings? An interesting insight from ancient tradition may have a connection to modern UFO legend.
One September night in 1961, Betty and Barney Hill¹ were driving through the mountains of New Hampshire. By their account, a strange light in the sky seemed to follow them. They arrived home, but two hours later than expected, and neither could account for the time gap.
Under hypnosis, the Hills recalled the events of those two forgotten hours. The audio of their testimony is difficult to listen to as it captures genuine terror. They described the craft and small beings peering out of its windows, and believed they could communicate telepathically.
Their story is well known, and though skeptics question the abduction aspect, the physical description of the beings captivated pop culture.
The Greys
The Hills described human-like beings that were small, grayish in color, and had oversized black eyes. Their account shares similarities with others, describing what many refer to as the Grays.
Extending far beyond the UFO community, the Grays have become the classic Alien icon, featured in Spielberg's "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
Though many associate them with the modern sci-fi genre, ancient traditions seem to share accounts of non-human beings with similar descriptions.
What if there is a connection?
